Please note service is by appointment ONLY (Rowlands Pharmacy).
Patients should call the Pharmacy beforehand. If a swab is required, they will then arrange an appointment.
The service is for:
- Patients OVER 6 years of age with no Penicillin allergy
- Mild – moderate sore throat
- Sudden onset of symptoms
The service excludes patients with:
- Persistent and/or SEVERE symptoms
- Long term symptoms – over 1 week with no improvement
- Associated Rash (as Pharmacist cannot prescribe for cases of Scarlet Fever)
