Clinics & Services

APPOINTMENTS

The admin staff will ask questions in order to ensure they book patients with the correct clinician. You do not have to give this information when booking with a GP, but it will help you and other patients to be seen more quickly and to get the right care when you need it.

If booking to see a nurse it is important that we know what you require the appointment for, as the nurses each have areas of expertise, and we need to book you with the right nurse for the right length of time.

More information can be found on the appointments tab.

PRESCRIPTIONS

These can be ordered in a range of ways, and then can be collected from the surgery for patients to take to the pharmacy of their choice, or sent to the pharmacies in Amlwch, Cemaes Bay or Benllech. See the Prescription tab for more information.

TESTS

Our HCAs do blood tests Monday to Thursday.

Other samples such as urine samples will be tested and sent to the lab if required.

We would ask that patients do not self-diagnose and drop off samples but speak to a clinician to establish if a test is needed.

Samples are collected from the surgery at 10am each day, so any samples need to be ready for collection by 9.30am in order to give our staff time to process them.

FIT NOTES

Patients can self-certificate for the first week. Thereafter they can ask the GP or ANP for a fit note if they have been treated in the practice for the condition.

NON-NHS SERVICES

We can undertake a range of medicals such as Taxi and HGV medicals and complete medical reports.

For non-NHS services there is a fee which reception can inform you of.
